A Roanoke Rapids man is wanted for allegedly shooting his friend in the leg Friday, police Chief Jeff Hinton said today.

Joshue Medina, 23, is wanted for assault with a deadly with intent to kill inflicting serious injury after he allegedly shot Calvin Alexander Richardson with a revolver.

Medina, who lives on Driftwood Lane, fled the scene in the 900 block of Henry Street and is still being sought. He has been entered to national criminal databases.

Richardson, 22, was taken to Halifax Regional Medical Center for treatment.
