The Weldon Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Chris Davis:

Thursday shortly before 10:45 p.m., Officer N. Coles conducted a traffic stop in the area of County Road and Allen Street for a traffic violation.

The driver was identified as Kenny Lee Graham Jr., 26, of Seaboard.

Graham had a revoked driver’s license and the officer detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Coles located marijuana and a concealed weapon.

Graham had three outstanding orders for arrest.

He was arrested and taken before a magistrate. Coles charged Graham with driving while license revoked, simple possession of marijuana and carrying a concealed weapon.

Graham received a $1,000 secured bond for the orders for arrest and a $500 secured bond for the Weldon charges. He has a  May 28 court date.

On Monday around 9:15 p.m., Officer T. Revis conducted a traffic stop in the area of Country Club Road for a violation.

Christopher Solomon, 30, of Roanoke Rapids, was identified as the driver.

Solomon had an order for arrest for a probation violation.

Solomon was placed under arrest and taken before a magistrate.

He received a $5,000 secured bond with a May 21 court date.

On May 10 shortly after 11:30 p.m., Coles responded to the area of West Ninth Street on a fight call.

The officer discovered the participants had left but through further investigation he located Kaijah Evamus Annette Moore, 19, of Weldon.

Moore was placed under arrest and taken before a magistrate.

She was charged with simple assault and damage to real property.

She received a $1,000 secured bond with a May 28 court date.
