The Haliwa-Saponi Tribe opened the second day of Halifax Resolves Day celebrations with a ceremony at Magazine Spring on the grounds of Historic Halifax this morning.

Throughout the day there were numerous reenactments, including musket and cannon demonstrations as well as cooking and distilling demonstrations.

On Sunday, the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Halifax Resolves, the Historic Site opens at 10 a.m.

Governor Josh Stein is scheduled to speak at 3 p.m. during the annual program hosted by the Historical Halifax Restoration Association.
