The Roanoke Rapids Static will compete in the Old North State League and call Doyle Field their home beginning this upcoming season.

The Roanoke Rapids Static will be a collegiate summer wood-bat team and, according to the team, provide high-level competition while giving fans affordable, family-friendly entertainment all summer long.

The team will feature top collegiate players from across the country.

Doyle Field will serve as the backdrop for the Static’s inaugural season.

“We are thrilled to bring the Roanoke Rapids Static to this community,” said team leadership. “Roanoke Rapids has a strong sports culture and a deep appreciation for baseball. We’re excited to build something that the entire community can rally behind.”

As members of the Old North State League, the Static will compete against teams from across the state in a competitive collegiate summer league that emphasizes player development and community engagement.

In addition to on-field action, fans can expect theme nights, community events, youth engagement programs, and local partnerships.
