The detention hearing scheduled for Isaac Matthew Nielsen, a Roanoke Rapids police officer facing a federal charge of possession and distribution of child sex abuse material, will most likely be moved to next week, a motion to continue filed in the case Monday says.

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday in Raleigh but Joseph E. Zeszotarski Jr., the attorney representing Nielsen, said in the motion the government doesn’t object to the continuance.

Zeszotarski has suggested either next Tuesday or Wednesday for the hearing.

The court had not filed an order on the motion as of this report.

Zeszotarski wants to have sufficient time to meet with Nielsen who is in custody at Piedmont Regional Jail in Farmville, Virginia, and discuss and prepare for the hearing, and gather the evidence necessary for the hearing.

According to the complaint, the investigation originated from a tip by a foreign law enforcement agency regarding a user on the porn website Motherless operating under the name ****meat22.

An undercover officer posed as a single mother on the platform and engaged in chats with ****meat22, who was later identified as Nielsen.

In these chats, Nielsen reportedly said his favorite age is 10 to 15 and expressed sexual interest in the undercover agent’s fictitious 10-year-old daughter.

On May 23 and May 26, the complaint says that Nielsen sent the undercover agent multiple videos and images depicting child sexual abuse material, including videos of prepubescent minors engaging in sexual acts with adults.
