The RRHS Alumni and Friends Association will hold the third Christmas at the Castle on Friday, December 19.
The event will start at 5 p.m. at the historic RRHS Senior Building at 800 Hamilton Street.
“This year's Nutcracker theme promises to be a beautiful holiday display with gorgeous photo opportunities and lots of hometown holiday cheer all around,” organizers said.
At 5 p.m. vendors will be set up with a group of carolers strolling around through 6 p.m.
Vendors include those selling food, gift items and florals.
At 6 p.m. the first phase of the brick project at the front sidewalk at the school will be revealed.
At 6:15 p.m. the RRHS Choir Carolers will perform followed by the Jingle Bell Jackets — the RRHS band — at 6:30 p.m.
Santa will arrive at 6:45 p.m. and at 7 p.m. the candles in the front windows of the school will be lit with a chance of the Grinch peeking through some of the windows.
In addition to the vendors, the RRHS Band will have a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, hot chocolate and baked goods sale. They will have Christmas cards and ornaments for sale as well.
The alumni association will be selling bricks for the second phase of the brick project in which purchasers can have a brick inscribed in honor of loved one, graduates, and others. Cost of each brick is $200.
Fire pits will be lit and lawn chairs are encouraged.
