In celebration of National Family Literacy Month, the Elizabeth Montfort Ashe Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, presented certificates of literacy promotion to the staff of the Chichester Memorial Library this week.

“They help many in our community to use the varied assets they have available in the library to improve lives and promote literacy daily,” the chapter said. “We are very blessed to have these loyal, qualified individuals available to encourage and help so many enjoy the art of reading.”

The chapter also donated the book Drawn to History: A Mary Martin Story to the library.
