The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported the following, according to Major Anzell Harris:
On Friday Deputy J. Butler took a report about the larceny of a firearm and an Xbox One Series S from an address in the Littleton area.
The larceny occurred sometime between April 7 and 9.
Through investigation, with the assistance of Sergeant A. Wood, the Xbox was located and recovered from an area pawn shop. The victim in the case was familiar with the suspect that made the pawn transaction — Tyquane Johnson, 30, of Littleton.
Butler charged Johnson with larceny of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor possession of stolen goods, and obtaining property by false pretense.
Johnson was already confined at the Halifax County Detention Center on unrelated charges and was served the new warrants.
He has an April 24 district court date.

Drug charges
On Thursday shortly before 5 p.m. agents with the Halifax Regional Drug and Gang Task Force executed a search warrant with the assistance of the sheriff’s office criminal investigation and patrol divisions in the South Rosemary area after receiving numerous complaints of illegal narcotics being sold.
Agents identified William Gilbert Roundtree IV, 37, of Roanoke Rapids as being the person selling methamphetamine in the area.

During a search of the residence, agents located a shotgun, a handgun, methamphetamine, cocaine and clonazepam pills.
A criminal history check of Roundtree revealed that he is a convicted felon.
Agents arrested and charged Roundtree with possession of a firearm by convicted felon, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule I controlled substances, felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance, felony maintaining a dwelling place for controlled substances, possess drug paraphernalia and simple possession of a schedule IV controlled substance.
Roundtree has an April 24 district court date.
Agents also arrested and charged Samuel Ray Knight, 64, of Littleton who was at the residence with felony possession of cocaine and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Knight has an April 29 district court date.
