Dawn Daly-Mack, president of the Northampton County Branch of the NAACP, has been appointed health chair of the organization’s state conference.

“This prestigious appointment is a testament to her unwavering dedication to health equity and her exceptional leadership within our community,” the county branch said. “Dawn Daly-Mack has been a cornerstone of our local branch, tirelessly advocating for improved health outcomes and access to care for all residents. Her extensive experience as a registered nurse and her passion for public health have made a significant impact on our community, and we are confident that she will bring the same level of commitment and expertise to her new role at the state level.”

As the health chair Daly-Mack will spearhead initiatives aimed at addressing health disparities, promoting preventive care, and advocating for policies that support the health and wellness of all North Carolinians. “Her leadership will be instrumental in advancing the NAACP's mission to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.”
