The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported that on March 19, around 8 p.m. Corporal K. Williams was patrolling the area of Hinson Street when she came upon a single-vehicle wreck.
Lieutenant Morgan Worrell said the driver of the vehicle was identified as Tiffany Willoughby, 29, of Roanoke Rapids.
During the interaction with Willoughby, Williams smelled an odor of alcohol coming from Willoughby’s breath.
Williams concluded after a Standardized Field Sobriety Test that Willoughby was impaired.
She was arrested and transported to Roanoke Rapids Police Department and submitted to an Intoxilyzer breath analysis.
Willoughby was charged with DWI, failure to maintain lane control, and open container of alcohol.
She was given a Friday Halifax County district court date and was released to a responsible party.
