A Roanoke Rapids man Friday was sentenced to 87 months in prison for distributing fentanyl and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon.
The Roanoke Rapids Police Department reported the following, according to Chief Shane Guyant:
Captain Scott Hall of the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office reported that Thursday around 10:30 p.m. Corporal D. Harrison stopped a motorist for an equipment violation in Scotland Neck which resulted in the passenger Lashawn Moore, 34, of Woodland being arrested on outstanding orders for arrest and possession of marijuana.
