The Saturday morning death of a Goldsboro man from a gunshot wound is under investigation, Roanoke Rapids Police Chief Jeff Hinton said.

Around 12:30 police responded to a room at the Hilton Garden Inn.

Carl Anthony Bradley, 23, sustained a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville where he later succumbed to his injuries, said Hinton.

No further details were offered.

Hinton also reported:

Police responded to Wal-Mart around 9 a.m. Sunday following a bomb threat call. The building was checked for about an hour and business resumed.
