Halifax Community College Information Technology student Tyesha Humphrey received a $2,500 Chick-fil-A Remarkable Futures Scholarship. 

This scholarship supports students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities.

Tyesha has demonstrated dedication to her studies in Information Technology and her ongoing commitment to academic and professional excellence. “This achievement showcases her hard work and Halifax Community College’s dedication to equipping students for success in high-demand careers,” the college said.

Emily Worley, Information Technology instructor and IT Program chair, said, "The Halifax Community College Information Technology Program is deeply grateful for community partners like Chick‑fil‑A, whose investment in our students opens doors to education, leadership, and meaningful career pathways."

Galvin, dean of Career Technical Education & Health Sciences at HCC, said, “I am incredibly proud of Tyesha Humphrey for this well-deserved recognition, as her achievement reflects both her dedication and the strength of our Information Technology program in preparing students for high-demand careers with real opportunities.”

Through the Remarkable Futures Scholarship program, $1,000, $2,500, and $25,000 scholarships are awarded each year to team members who work at a franchised, company-owned, or affiliated restaurant. 

The scholarships can be used at any accredited college, university, or technical or vocational school and are available to both full-time and part-time students.
