Halifax Community College Friday was presented with a copy of the Congressional Record on behalf of Congressman Don Davis.

Kimberly Mack, district director for Davis, presented the framed document during the college’s employee appreciation program.

The Congressional Record recognizes community colleges as a lifeline for eastern North Carolina, rural America, and beyond. It acknowledged meetings held with several community college presidents, including Elliott.

“We are grateful for Congressman Davis’ recognition of the work we are doing, and his advocacy at the federal level is invaluable to our students and the communities we serve,” said Elliott.
