ASHLAND, Va. – Randolph-Macon used a huge surge in the second quarter to push past the visiting University of Valley Forge Patriots 67-56 in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament Friday evening in Crenshaw Gymnasium. Sophomore Kelly Williams (Garysburg, N.C./Halifax Academy) scored 17 points and set a new school and Old Dominion Athletic Conference record for points in a single season with 715, surpassing previous record-holder, R-MC's Megan Silva Schultz, who scored 714 points in a the 2005-2006 season.
