The Roanoke Rapids High School JV Yellow Jackets Baseball defeated Bertie by a score of 10-0 Monday afternoon at home. 

The Jackets had a big 1st inning scoring 7 runs taking advantage of a multitude of errors and base on balls. 

AJ Strickland led the team on the mound as well as the plate.  Strickland gave up only 1 hit and struck out 10 Bertie Batters defensively while offensively he produced 3 doubles. 

Trevor Harrison also had 3 hits while Jacob Deberry delivered 2 on the night. 

Post game, JV Jackets coach Aubrey Coker stated, "Our Jackets had a complete Team Victory and took advantage of opportunities and executed the few plays that needed to be made.  We are  proud of this young team and will continue as a Coaching Staff to work hard teaching and developing them into Varsity Players."
