The Halifax Academy Lady Vikings soccer team finishes the season strong with a conference win against The Oakwood School by a score of 5-2.
This was the second game this week against Oakwood after suffering a defeat on Monday.
"The Lady Vikings showed a lot of heart and an aggressive attitude tonight with a great win against a very good opponent. All of the girls showed the energy that they lacked earlier this week and were able to control the game much better and win the 50-50 balls tonight. The defense had a very good game and the offense came to play tonight," stated Vikings head coach Tim George.
Goals for Halifax were scored by Holly Forsht, Maddie Suiter, Abby George and Whitney George with two. Abby George had an assist and Whitney George had two assists as well.
The team finishes the season 12-5, with a 7-3 record in conference.
The state playoffs begin next week and the schedule will be announced later this weekend.
