Tuesday night Halifax/Northampton Youth Football League's Varsity Division finals has decided who will face off for the 2016 Super bowl.

In the Thunder Division (Halifax County) the Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets beat the Roanoke Rapids Hornets 30-6.

 

In the Lightning Division (Northampton County) the Jackson Pirates beat the Gaston College Prep Panthers 30-6.

Jackson Stats:

Jayden Harvey two 2point conversion, 2 touchdowns 1st one for a 35 yard run, 2nd one for a 15 yard run, 3 tackles, 3 carrys 1 for a 5 yard run and a 3 yard run. Charles Tyner 3 tackles, K'Sean Deloatch 2 tackles, Damarjay Lassiter 1 touchdown that was a pick 6 interception that ran in for a 40 yard touchdown and 2 tackles. Atrielle Barnes 3 tackles. Alex Creecy 1 touchdown for a 25 yard run and 3 more carry some for a 50 yard run, 12 yard run, 20 yard run and a 40 yard run and 4 tackles. CJ Hatcher 6 tackles. Jayquan Williams 1 tackle. Wilson Timberlake 2 tackles. Jermal Warren 2 tackles. Justin Olds 2 tackles. Team pile up tackles from the hold team and good blocking

 

 

The 2016 Varsity Super Bowl will be held Saturday October 29th at Roanoke Rapids High Hoyle field with a 3:30PM kick-off.
