KIPP goal by Elijah Robert.

Roanoke Rapids head coach Craig Jean post match comments, "We had a slow start. Kipp's players had a lot of speed and were very athletic. We got caught out of position early and got a wake up call. We finally settled down and took control. I thought #20 (Elijah Robert) and #17 (Cory Hunt) for Kipp were very impressive and are going to cause problems for a lot of the teams that they will play. Carson Neal finished well tonight. He put some shots away- far post, upper 90, with authority. Tyler Shearin came in and hustled like a wild man and made things happen for the second game in a row. For a kid who just started playing soccer, through his natural athleticism and hustle, he is already finding ways to impact our games. Billy Ricks made some great decisions that I was very pleased with. Our varsity team gets a nice 7 day break to work on some things and continue to improve before they play again. Our JV team plays again tomorrow at Henderson College, which will be a good chance to show their improvement as well."
