The Roanoke Valley Girls Softball League All-star teams are in Camden this weekend for the 2016 Little Tarheel District 7 all-star tournament.

The Roanoke Valley U10 team advance in the winners bracket by beating the Chocowinitty team 13-5 Friday and will face Camden at 11AM Saturday.

On the mound for the Roanoke Valley team was Janiya Odom for 3 innings with 4 strike-outs and Kaysie Summerlin for 3 innings with 2 strike-outs. In the U10 division the coach comes in to pitch after 4 balls so coach James Odom had a few strike-outs.

At the plate for Roanoke Valley: Kaysie Summerlin went 3 for 4, Kaylee Collier and Janiya Odom went 2 for 4 each,  One of Janiya's was a beautiful triple. Kalissa Williams went 3 for 3. Kamryn Dixon also had a nice triple.
