Roanoke Rapids basketball teams traveled to battle Franklinton Tuesday night.

Roanoke Rapids Varsity girls beat Franklinton 42-38 and sit tied for second in the 2A NCC with Warren County, who comes to the "Hive" in Roanoke Rapids Friday night.

Roanoke Rapids leading scorers were: Anna Vann with 16 points, Alizae Neville with 9 points, Michelle Stewart with 6 points, Abbi Carpenter with 4 points, Haley Farrow with 3 points, Brooke McClenny with 3 points, Taylor Medlin with 1 point.

Roanoke Rapids Varsity boys fell to Franklinton 73-60.

Roanoke Rapids leading scorers were: Tyjarek Simmons with 14 points, Zack Vincent with 11 points, Tyler Acree with 10 points, Josh Elias with 6 points, Dre' Terry with 5 points.
