The Garysburg Bulldawgs played their all-star game against Warren County Cardinals Saturday afternoon in honor of their late coach Emmanuel Boone.

Current and former Bulldawg players, family and friends came to Gaston Saturday to not only to watch the Garysburg Bulldawgs play as Coach Boone would have wanted, but to show respect to the late coach Boone who passed away this past Thursday.

Garysburg won the match-up on the field 28-6 to honor Boone, but it was half-time that the teammates and friends and family came to mid-field for a prayer, a moment of silence and the release of Bulldawg red and black colored balloons into the sky.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Cofield Mortuary.

A Celebration Honoring the Life and Spirit of Mr. Emmanuel E. Boone, Jr. will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Weldon High School Gymnasium with Rev. Danny B. Jones, Sr. giving words of comfort.
