Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets JV football team 5-0 hosted the Bunn Wildcats who was 4-0 in a conference match-up Thursday night at Hoyle field.

The Wildcats came into the game only allowing 22 total points in four games.

The Wildcats scored first with a touchdown and a PAT, leading 7-0. Roanoke Rapids angered back with a touchdown and the two point conversion to take the lead 8-7. The Jackets ran out of time in the red zone just before half.

The second half the scoring for both teams opened up. With a tie 28-28 score at the end of regulation time, the game goes to overtime. 

Roanoke Rapids in the end won the game 36-34 and remained undefeated 6-0 and takes the 2A NCC JV lead.
