Halifax, who's only lost is to Oakwood, traveled to Greenville to face Oakwood Tuesday night

Halifax Academy varsity teams traveled to Oakwood School in Greenville. The varsity girls trailed at halftime 17-25 and outscored Oakwood 19-9 in the third period to take the lead into the fourth 36-34. The lady Vikings had a double digit lead at one point, but Oakwood battled back, but Halifax wins the nailbitter over Oakwood 49-48.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Kelly Williams with 19 points, Candice Smith & Kim Shearin with 11 points each, Kate Starnes with 6 points and Drew Rose with 2 points.

Halifax Academy varsity boys lose 26-33 in a low scoring game. The vikings really struggled during the second half offensively only scoring 7 points total points in second half.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Garrett Morris with 11 points, Ryan Hockaday & Jackson Harris with 5 points each, Jacob Smith with 3 points and Matthew Wray with 2 points.

Halifax Academy host Southampton Academy Wednesday night January 28th with games starting at 3:15 PM.
