GCP boys Clinch conference title with three regular season games remaining

GCP hosted Weldon and split the match-up.

Weldon girls were just to much for GCP as they won 45-15.  GCP played good defense but Weldon girls were just better on this day.

Leading scorers for Weldon were: K. Harrison with 14 points and S. Travis with 12 points.

Leading scorers for GCP were: Anitra Jones with 6 points and Kayla Parker with 4 points.

GCP girls move to 4-7 in the conference.

GCP boys destroyed Weldon 46-16. GCP allowed zero points in the 1st period and allowed only 2 points at the half, taking a 21-2 lead at he half. GCP lengthen the lead to 25 at the end of the third.

Leading scorers for GCP were: Paul Whitby with game high 17 points and Tarik Adams with 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks.

GCP boys remain undefeated at 13-0 and 11-0 in the conference and travel to William R. Davie Middle Wednesday.

William R. Davie Middle sweeps Gaston Middle in Gaston

Davie girls won 33-18.

Leading scorers for Davie were: Brianna Jefferson with 16 points, Shimora Young with 4 points, Knyha Jones, Niaja Bell and V. Hines with 3 points each. Sha Lee and Diamond Woodley with 1 point each.

Davie boys won28-24.

Leading scorers for Davie were: Jahi Jeffers with 14 points & 7 rebounds, Maleek Boone with 7 points, Dexter Deloatch with 4 points & 10 rebounds, Danyus Daniels with 2 points and Keonte Jefferson with 1 point.

Chaloner Middle traveled to Rocky Mount Prep.

Chaloner girls won 40-8.

Leading scorers for Chaloner were: Michelle Stewart with 10 points, Haley Martin with 7 points, Anna Vann with 6 points, Abi Carpenter with 6 points, Hannah Taylor & Alyssa Snyder with 4 points each, Reauna Robinson with 2 points and Janet Roberson with 1 point.

Chaloner boys lost 39-48.

Leading scorers for Chaloner were: Ezekiel Collum with 12 points, A'Jalon Brown with 9 points, Rodney Robinson with 6 points, Peyton Clapton & Eric Baird with 4 points each, Jake Van Dam & Cameron Wilson with 2 points each

Conway Middle split at home to Enfield Middle

Conway girls won 35-29.

Enfield boys won 43-28.
