All five Halifax Academy basketball teams battle Rocky Mount Academy (RMA)

Halifax middle school had a rematch of yesterday, but Wednesday at home and a different outcome.

Halifax Middle team fell to RMA 35-38.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Thomas Garrett with 21 points, Harrison Hardee & Jesse Rose with 4 points each, Eli Harris. Luke Keeter and Landon Dunn with 2 points each.

Halifax JV girls at RMA won 26-21.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Sydney Smith & Emerson Poole with 8 points each, Maddie Suiter & Kate Hawkins with 4 points each and Ashton Garner with 2 points.

Halifax JV boys fell at RMA 32-52.

Leading scorers for Halifax were: Eric Williams with 10 points, Reid Lynch & Will Cooke with 5 points each.

Halifax varsity girls beat RMA 48-35.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Kelly Williams with 30 points, Candice Smith & Kim Shearin with 5 points each, Drew Rose with 4 points, Kate Starnes with 3 points and Brooke Robertson with 1 point.

Halifax varsity boys fell to RMA 37-61.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Garrett Morris with 13 points, Jackson Harris with 10 points, Brandon Moody with 6 points, Jacob Smith with 5 points, Holt Gordon with 3 points.
