In JV boys action. After a back and fourth 1st half Kipp
takes a 29-27 lead into the locker room. Kipp explodes

What started out as a blowout in the varsity girls game,
ended as the most exciting game of the night. Weldon
dominated the game early taking a commanding 31-16
advantage into the half. It didn't get better for KIPP
most of the third quarter as they fell behind 29 points.
Weldon's stifling defense was hard at work holding Kayla
Buffalo to just 4 first half points, Game over right?
Someone failed to info the Lady Pride of this. Behind
Kayla Buffaloes game high 38 points, KIPP rallied in the
4th quarter, cutting the lead to 4 points before falling
65-59. Charger sharpshooter Tahisa Boone led Weldon
with 25.
The varsity boys game was another close game to close
the night as Weldon beats KIPP Pride 63-53. KIPP boys
slow the tempo a bit and it seemed to work as the Pride
took a 30-25 first half lead. Foul trouble plagued KIPP
in the second half as well as a steady dose of Malik
Peebles dunks as Weldon took a 54-44 lead into the
4th quarter. Peebles was a tad to much for KIPP and
Weldon earns a 63-53 victory.Jordan Sheppard and
Josh George lead KIPP with 14 points each. Peebles
led all scorers with 20 points Melquan Ames added 15.
