The Roanoke Rapids varsity girls beat NC School of science and Math 50-49.
Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were: Brooke McCleanny with 13 points, Brianna Allen & Alizea Nevile with 12 points each, Taylor Medlin with 5 points, Brionna Gibson with 4 points, Erica Whitmire & Alloni Wallace with 2 points each.
Head Coach Jim Whitmire game comments, " We continued our winning ways tonight with a win. We jumped out early with a 19 point lead at the half. We played with a lot of confidence and executed the offense well. Came out in the second half a little rattled. We settled in and finished. We has great bench play from Erica Whitmire, Alloni Wallace, Taylor Medlin and Imani Cole. We had good balance scoring with Brianna Allen, Brook McClenny and Alizae Neville all in double figures. I feel confident going into our game with Bunn Friday night.""

Leading scorers for Roanoke Rapids were: Marcus Jones with 18 points, Dejuan Walker with 17 points and Cameron Yarboro with 16 points.
Head Coach Tyler Snyder game comments, " They started off not missing a shot. We played good defensively in the second half and shut down their top scorer to get the victory. It feels good to get our first conference win."
