Halifax Academy basketball action Friday night at home

Halifax JV boys beat Crossroads 40-29.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Will Cooke with 16 points, Reid Lynch with 11 points and Kal Liles with 7 points.

 

Halifax varsity girls beat Crossroads 72-24.

Leading scorers for Halifax were:  Kelly Williams with 44 points, Drew Rose with 8 points while Candice Smith and Brooke Robertson each had 6 point.

 

Halifax varsity boys also beat Crossroads in Overtime 78-73.

Garrett Morris had a career game high 42 points and that with sitting out most of the 3rd quarter in foul trouble. Morris returned with 5:30 left in the 4th quarter.

Ryan Mizelle clutching threes helped Halifax tie the score and send into overtime, finishing the night with 11 points and Jacob Smith had 9 points.
