KIPP's Varsity girls basketball leading scorer Kayla Buffalo returned to the court after a summer broken bone injury while KIPP High's first girls basketball coach Tammi Sutton returned to court side after an illness pulled her away in 2010.

The varsity KIPP girls beat North Edgecombe 51-34 with Kayla Buffalo with 26 points and Desnity Neismith with 6 points.

The varsity KIPP boys lost to North Edgecombe 48-60 with Jordan Sheppard with 15 points and Jerry Royster with 9 points.

The JV KIPP boys beat North Edgecombe 57-50.
