East vs West
Saturday afternoon was the end of the 2014 Halifax/
Northampton Youth Football League on the field when
the East battled the West in the Pee Wee and Varsity
all-star games at Weldon High's Cotton field.
The West All stars defeated the East all stars 14-12 in
the Pee Wee All star game. The West team included the
Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets and the Jackson Pirates
against the East team of the Weldon Chargers and the
Garysburg Bulldawgs.
The East player of the game was Tony Garner from the
Chargers, Jayden Hardy was the West Player of the
game from the Jackson Pirates and Austin Geary was
the game's MVP from the Jackets.

The Varsity game would end 20-18 with the East
defeating the West.
The East team including the Davie Vikings, Garysburg
Bulldawgs and Weldon Chargers. The West team would
include the Roanoke Rapids Yellow Jackets, Gaston
College Prep. Panthers and Gaston Buckeyes.
Bennett Liverman from the Yellow Jackets was the West
player of the game. Kerry Parker from the Vikings was
the East player of the game and game's MVP from the
Bulldawgs was Shaheed Moore.
