RRHS mes 3rd women 4th in conference

The RRHS Cross Country teams ran in the Northern Carolina 
Conference championship meet at Warren County on Tuesday,
October 14.  All 8 Conference teams were in attendance at 
the meet.

The RRHS Men's team finished 3rd overall in points.  
Individual Men's results were:

The RRHS Women's team finished 4th overall in points.

After the meet there was a ceremony to award all-conference, 
men's and women's runner of the year, and the overall 
conference championship teams.  

RRHS had two award winners.  Sonny Watson and Katherine 
Clayton were both awarded all-conference honors.

"Today we ran in not so ideal circumstances, but our teams 
responded well to the challenge.  All of our runners ran their 
hearts out today and it showed with some very good times.  
This is a really special group of runners.  I am so proud of all 
of them.  I am extremely excited for Sonny and Katherine for 
being named all-conference runners.  They definitely earned 
it with their hard work and dedication this season," said head 
coach Mark Snead

The Yellow Jackets will next run in the 2A Mideast Regional 
meet in Raeford, NC on Saturday, October 25.
