Halifax County residents 
team-up for travel softball.

Candice Smith and Abbie Carpenter were part 
of the Heart breakers Travel softball team win 
this past weekend.
 
Smith, a Sophomore at Halifax Academy and 
Carpenter, a freshman at Roanoke Rapids High 
are players on the Greenville based travel softball 
team called Heart breakers.
 
The team played in Wendell this past weekend in 
the "NC USSSA Summer's End" tournament and 
won in the High School division.

The team played 6 games going undefeated for 
the whole tournament.
