Roanoke Rapids Swim team started with a bang and finished with a bang!

In the NCHSAA 2A State Championship in Cary and RRHS's 4 x 100 Relay team shattered a 13 year old record school record.  Seniors Sam Barber and Xac Fromal along with Juniors Nick Denny and James Evans left it all in the pool last night and beat the record by over a second and finished 11th in State.  It was a sweet finish for them because this same team missed the record by one half of a second in the 2013 State Championship.

The girls 4 x 100 Relay team lead by Senior Mallory Barrow and including Rachel Price, Kristie Price, and Katherine King dropped 5 seconds from their best time ever and finished 22nd in State!

Sam Barber swam the 100 Freestyle in 51.24 seconds to earn a 16th place in the Championship Finals
