Sluggers in Action
Carolina Sluggers, U8 travel team of Roanoke Rapids, played in the Top Gun Sports World Series this past weekend in Rocky Mount.
Saturday they defeated the Calypso Indians, 24-6, and the Wake Rebels, 13-9 which put them into the gold bracket for Sunday.
The Sluggers played well on Sunday but came up short against the Big Blue and the North Wake Crush finishing fourth place in the tournament.
