No second thoughts to honor a friend and fellow driver

By Randy Wrenn

Louisburg resident Jimmy O'Neal has raced the number 3 for twenty years, since he was 11 racing go-karts. It has been like part of him, not to mention his cool helmet spiked with colored hair on top. But after losing a fellow friend and PS 4 Cyl. driver Allen Moss, 42 years old of Spring Hope this past Saturday night at Clary's Speedway, what appears to be from a heart attack. O'Neal never second guessed what he should do. Wednesday night O'Neal worked on his SS 4 cyl. and removed his long time number 3 and replaced it with Allen Moss's Orange number one Just like Moss's was with the name MOSS printed on the inside and will run it for the remaining 2013 racing season.

"It's my way of respecting a great friend and to me, it's like my way of letting his presence be known at the track, kinda like he was still racing. It's what he lived to do so I want his family and friends to still see that orange number one flying around the track", stated O'Neal.

If the rain hold out you can come see O'Neal in his MOSS #1 SS 4cly. Friiday and Saturday night in Clary's Speedway double down weekend. Two night of racing on the dirt.
