Roanoke Rapids advances to second round of the 2013 NCHSAA State play-offs

Roanoke Rapids High Soccer hosted East Duplin High Wednesday night at Hoyle Field in first round NCHSAA State play-offs. The Yellow Jackets went on to beat East zduplin and advance to the 2nd round. 

Veronica Edmonds scored the first goal .55 seconds into the game. Then 1.11 into the game Kayla Miller scored goal two. Chloe Wilson hits a 35 yarder 8.28 into the game to give RoRap 3-0 lead. With 12.09 into the contest Edmonds assisted Miller for Millers second goal of the game. Closing out the first half with 13.13 left on the clock in first half Miller assited Wilson on her second goal of the game. giving RoRap a 5-0 half-time lead.

 

6.35 into the second half, Edmonds scored her second goal of the game. The lady panthers get on the scoreboard with a goal 16.48 into the second half. Now with tthe score 6-1. 24.06 into the second half, Edmond gets her hat trick for the night giving RoRap a 7-1 lead and the final score for the win.

Roanoke Rapids will host round two supposedly Saturday night, but if Northeastern wins tonight (as they should) the game will be played Friday night due to Northeastern has their High School Prom Saturday night.
