PUBLIC NOTICE OF EMERGENCY MEETING

Pursuant to N.C.G.S. §143-318.12(b)(3) notice is hereby given that pursuant to G.S. 153A-

40(b) an emergency meeting of the Halifax County Board of Commissioners will be held on

Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in the Commissioners' Board Room on the second floor of the Halifax County Historic Courthouse, 10 North King Street, Halifax, North Carolina. The sole purpose of this meeting is to consider the adoption of a resolution in opposition to Senate Bill 214, Part V, Section 5, which is now pending before the N. C. General Assembly.
