The Roanoke Rapids Public Library has begun the following services:

Check out of materials, copies — limit of 20 — and tax forms.

Library staff will be available by phone between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays.

If patrons desire to check out library materials, the library encourages them to call between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday.  Materials will be ready for pick up 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday.

The library encourages patrons to call the staff when they come to pick up materials.

Please have your library card available.

The staff will bring the materials to your vehicle and you may open your trunk or door to minimize physical contact.

If you choose to come to the door, please use the 3rd Street ramp entrance and practice a physical distance of 6 feet if there is a line.  The staff at the door will redirect patrons according to their needs.  If you request materials at the door, there will be a wait to secure these materials.  If you have library materials to return including DVDs, they should be returned in the book drop on Roanoke Avenue.  The book drop will remain open at all times until further notice.  At this time, patrons will not be permitted into the building.

At the present time, checkouts per card will be limited to a total of five adult/young adult/large print books and 10 children’s books.

Regular limits apply to DVDs, audio books and magazines that circulate.

The staff will be able to answer questions. Information will also be posted on the library’s website.
