With more than eight months of planning completed, Roanoke Rapids is now ready to roll out the red carpet to 13 teams as the U-9 Cal Ripken Southeast Regional Baseball Tournament gets under way at Ledgerwood Field next week.
Key organizations charged with bringing together the Cal Ripken U-9 Southeast Regional Baseball Tournament in July are assessing needs and logistics for an event having the potential to bring at least $500,000 in spending to the area.
Roanoke Rapids will play host next year to the U-9 Cal Ripken Southeast Tournament at Ledgerwood Field.
