The itinerary for the event includes several of the historic buildings decorated as they were in Colonial times as well as a soup and sandwich lunch. There will be baked goods for sale at a Holiday Sweet Shop and short holiday films at the library as well as a visit from Santa at the library on South Granville Street.
The full schedule is as follows:
• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Guided and self-guided tours of Historic Site buildings decorated for the season.
• 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Tours of the Glen Ivey House and the Royal White Hart Masonic Lodge.
• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Tours of churches.
The church tours are broken down as follows:
Halifax Methodist from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; First Baptist with cider and cookies from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Halifax Baptist from noon to 4 p.m., and Church of the Immaculate Conception from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The remainder of the full schedule is as follows:
• 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. — Short holiday films at the county library and a visit with Santa from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
• 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Soup and sandwich luncheon at Halifax United Methodist Church at 144 King Street.
• 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. — Silent auction featuring estate items and holiday gift items in the Visitor Center at 25 Saint David Street.
2 p.m. — Halifax Christmas Parade on King Street with a visit from Santa in the Tap Room immediately following the parade.
4 p.m. — Silent bidding ends.
4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. — Items may be picked up at the Visitor Center.
