The Dollar General store on Bolling Road was robbed for the second time in just less than two weeks.

Halifax County Sheriff Wes Tripp said deputies were dispatched to the store shortly after 9:45 p.m. Friday.

Two store clerks and multiple customers were unharmed during the robbery, where two men entered the store brandishing what appeared to be semi-automatic handguns. They demanded money from two sales clerks and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. They fled toward to the wooded area next to the store.

The first suspect is described as a tall black male, standing approximately 6-feet tall. He wore an orange bandanna over his face, a black hooded sweatshirt and black or blue jeans. He wore light brown or tan boots.

The second suspect is also described as a black male standing approximately 5-feet, 9-inches tall and wearing a light blue bandanna over his face, a black hooded sweatshirt and black or dark blue jeans. He wore black boots. Both men were wearing black cotton gloves during the robbery.

Tripp said whether this robbery was related to one that occurred at the store on July 21 remains under investigation. He declined to speculate on why the store has been marked for two armed robberies and several larcenies over the course of the last few months.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444.
