A Conway man surrendered to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office today and was served with outstanding warrants.

Detective Obert Wiltsie said the case involving Chad Timberlake, 26, remains under investigation.

The warrants were the result of an investigation into a breaking and entering that occurred in the Scotland Neck area around the first of June.

Additionally, he was served with warrants for possession of a stolen firearm and receiving stolen property from an investigation in another breaking and entering in the Scotland Neck area.

Wiltsie charged him with breaking and entering, larceny, possession of stolen goods, possession of a stolen firearm and receiving stolen goods.

He turned himself in around 1 p.m. and received a $12,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court August 13.

Wiltsie said one of the victims got their firearm back through another party.
