Three of the four people allegedly linked to a Raleigh pool hall shooting death last week have Halifax County ties, law enforcement sources confirmed this afternoon.

In fact, according to Roanoke Rapids Police Chief Thomas Hathaway, his department had a group of officers assisting U.S. Marshals in their location over the weekend.

The four were found holed up in a Petersburg motel Sunday, Norfolk TV Station WTVR reported.

The three with ties to the area are Dudley Lamar Kee, James Keith Nelson and Christina Barnes.

Kee, 29, was charged in connection with an April, 2010 shooting on Henry Street, but according to state Department of Correction records, was never convicted. Kee has served sentences for drug sales and simple assault.

James Keith Nelson, 23, who had a Matthews Street address in the Lincoln Heights community, served probation for selling marijuana.

Christina Nicole Barnes once listed a Holly Road address off Highway 301 between Halifax and Weldon, but her most recent address was listed in Garner. The fourth person arrested in the case, Erica Burnell, lists a Wilson address.

According to the WTVR account, Nelson and Key were wanted by Raleigh police for the death of Marcus Owens on February 18.

Owens died in a hospital late Friday after he was shot just before midnight Tuesday at Bar and Billiards on South Saunders Street. Owens was shot after an argument, according to police.

The four are being held at the Petersburg City Jail pending extradition.
