A woman pictured in the above photo is one of two people wanted in a February 7 kidnapping where an elderly Roanoke Rapids woman was forced to go to two banks and withdraw large sums of money from her account.

Roanoke Rapids police this morning declined to name the two financial institutions where the victim was taken or the vicinity from which she was forced to leave around 11 a.m.

Detective Jeff Davis did say in a news release the woman was a customer in a retail establishment when she was approached by two black females, and taken against her will to two different locations where she was forced to withdraw money from accounts.

It was unclear whether the alleged suspects showed a weapon, but Davis said they should be considered armed and dangerous.

Davis said the two women may be part of a group operating up and down the interstate targeting specific people.

The actions by the two suspects will lead to kidnapping, fraud and obtaining property by false pretense charges.
