As law enforcement continues its search for clues into the disappearance Amy Bridgeman, a group of friends and concerned supporters plan a purple balloon release in recognition of her and Shonda Stansbury.

Captain Rich Somogyi of the Halifax County Sheriff's Office said in a statement today that Bridgeman was last seen in the Weldon area on June 24 and reported missing June 29.

Somogyi said thus far in the investigation there has been no evidence brought forth to indicate whether or not Bridgeman, 42, has been a victim of foul play and the sheriff's office continues to search for information.

Meanwhile, supporters plan a balloon release on December 14 at Emry Park to honor Bridgeman's birthday, which is December 17. The 2 p.m. event will also honor Stansbury, who on that day will have officially been missing for seven years.

Anyone with information on either case is encouraged contact Crimestoppers at 252-583-4444; Somogyi at 252-583-8201 or the Roanoke Rapids Police Department at 252-533-2810.
