Woman faces cocaine, marijuana counts after raid

Halifax County Sheriff's Office narcotics returned to Scotland Neck this afternoon and arrested a Twelfth Street resident on cocaine and marijuana charges.

They were in Scotland Neck Sunday night on an unrelated case where they confiscated several jars of moonshine.

Lieutenant Anzell Harris said in a press release that around 2 p.m. today narcotics agents and and the Hazardous Entry and Arrest team executed a search warrant at a residence on Twelfth Street after a four-month investigation.

They arrested Raneisha T. Deloatch, 22, charging her with maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, possess marijuana up to a half ounce and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Harris received information about Deloatch allegedly selling cocaine from the residence.

Agents seized cocaine, user amounts of marijuana, a digital scale, a marijuana grinder and several small plastic bags.

Deloatch was arrested and transported to the Halifax County Sheriff’s Office, where she was given a $2,000 secured bond and a November 6 court date.
