Another man is being sought and investigators are still trying to determine his identity, Chief Chuck Hasty said.
Antwan Donta Howard, 26, of Woodland, was captured in a wooded area behind the former Staples building approximately 15 minutes after the armed robbery, which was reported around 11 p.m.
Hasty said in a statement officers responded to Sheetz about an armed robbery in progress. Staff told officers two men, Howard, and another, entered the store with guns and demanded money.
Staff complied with the demands and the men left with an undisclosed amount of money, some which has since been recovered.

The men fled out the back entrance and ran towards the woods and railroad tracks off Old Farm Road, Hasty said in the statement.
The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office and Weldon Police Department assisted in setting up a dragnet and Howard was caught hiding in the woods. He was taken into custody without trouble and charged with the following:
Robbery with a dangerous weapon
Conspiracy
Possession of a firearm by a felon
Possession of stolen goods
Carrying a concealed weapon
Assault by pointing a gun
Resisting/obstructing/delaying an officer
He was also served an outstanding order for arrest for possession of a firearm by felon in Northampton County.
Howard was jailed on $100,000 bond and has a March 15 court date.
Meanwhile, Hasty said in the statement the second person was last seen wearing a gray and black hooded jacket or sweatshirt, jeans and brown boots. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
