Ricky Edmonds faces charges for alleged crimes committed in the Littleton area of the county on Tuesday and December 19, according to a statement by Chief Deputy Scott Hall.
The most recent crime involves a report of a burglary in the Fern Cliff area in which the victim reported waking up and seeing a man walking down her hallway.
Nothing was reported taken and investigation by sheriff’s office Detective R.B. Biggerstaff and Littleton police led to warrants being obtained for the 50-year-old’s arrest on charges of first-degree burglary and injury to real property.
The December crime is related to a vehicle break-in and larceny in the Bowers Road area in which a car battery was stolen.
Detective R.M. Brown obtained warrants on Edmonds for breaking and entering a motor vehicle, injury to personal property and larceny.
Biggerstaff said motive in the case has not been established.
Edmonds was arrested Thursday by Littleton police through the cooperation of sources and Halifax County Sheriff’s Office investigators.
“The interagency cooperation paid off in solving numerous crimes,” Brown said today, while Biggerstaff said, “It was great work between both agencies to develop a suspect.”
Edmonds, who received a $130,000 secured bond on the Littleton police charges, has a February 2 court date on the county charges.
