Search under way for missing Littleton man

The Halifax County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking for a 78-year-old man reported missing late this morning.

Sheriff Wes Tripp said deputies are currently waiting for a state Highway Patrol helicopter as well as assistance from the Littleton Fire Department.
The man, who Tripp declined to immediately name, was last seen around 8 this morning and reported missing shortly before noon.
The sheriff’s office is conducting the search in the Littleton area around Johnny Faulcon Road and Highway 158.
The man, who Tripp said has Alzheimer’s, was last seen wearing brown, suede shoes, navy or black pants, a blue plaid shirt and blue T-shirt.
